Unearth Australia

Once again, house wine partners with Wine Australia to present three Australian tastings. The series will introduce you to leaders in the industry, take you on a tour of Australia’s diverse wine regions and showcase a variety of wine styles. Be prepared delve deeper into Australia’s dynamic wine scene.

Keeping it Cool

Australia may be associated with beaches and warm sunny days but brace yourself for a refreshing revelation. There are many wine regions that wake up to snow on the ground and temperatures low enough to rival our own. Factors such as altitude, coastal influences and plain old latitude (next stop from Tasmania is Antarctica!) greatly affect the daily temperatures and seasons and, therefore, the style of wine that is produced. In a fitting tribute to the ‘cool’ wines of Australia, we’ll be holding this tasting on a yacht looking out over Stanley Park and the North Shore Mountains. Don’t worry about seasickness, we’ll be docked all night, but there’ll be plenty of wine to keep you quenched and entertained.

Featuring 60+ wines from 24 producers! We will be joined by winery principals, including Matt Herde (Tahbilk), Matt Fowles (Fowles) and Don Cook (Talnari).
